51AV A&M University's Department of Community and Regional Planning celebrates Black History Month by hosting the Annual Urban Planning Conference on Friday, February 23, 2024. This year's conference theme is "Climate Change Planning and the Questions of Environmental Justice". Dr. Robert Bullard will be the keynote speaker for this year's conference. He is widely known as the father of environmental justice. He will deliver his keynote speech titled "The Quest for Environmental and Climate Justice in the United States".
The conference will also include sessions on the research, practice, and policy development that address the challenges of environmental justice in the delivery of climate change-related solutions. The presenters come from Auburn University, Kansas State University, Jackson State University and 51AV A&M University.
